繼承了 Pixel 4 的習慣，Google 來主動把新一款 Pixel 手機的資訊逐步公開了，免得大家又在亂挖料（？）。這次 Google 在 Facebook 和 Twitter 上同步更新了其封面相片，以顏色方去擋住一些字句，就只剩下「The Google」，「Phone」兩字。
與此同時，Twitter 帳號的名字也改成「The Google RTing, Meme Loving, Info Sharing Stream」，相關網站的連上了一個看似仍未完成的 Google 商店頁面，中間放了一個大大的透明化的手機輪廓。稍早之前，這網站還有大大的 8 月 3 日的字樣，但現在就沒了。所以在下星期一之前，會不會還有其他的官方爆料呢？讓我們一起密切留意吧。
